References....

I am honored to have my blog featured on very cool and informative wedding blog which is growing in popularity called "WeddingBee".

It is a blog designed for the busy planning brides, giving them information from dresses, shoes, cakes, invitations to photography (of course!). It is by some fun, determined and smart brides for fun, determined and smart brides (well, I'm sure photographers and other wonderful vendors sneak a peak to learn the tredns, once in a while too).

Another place that I am featured at is "New York Wedding Photographer", a relatively new blog started in order to highlight some talented photographers in NY and LI areas. Photographers chosen for this blog are based on talent, originality and uniqueness of their work, most of the people there are awesome and very known - and I'm along those best in industry- isn't that just way cool? There are lil' interviews with each featured photographer where you can learn about their style, interest and find links to their sites and blogs.

If you haven't seen those already, go on, check it out....

Mana & Mohammad's Wedding

Friday I shot a wedding with my dear friend Gulnara of Bloom Weddings. Mana & Mohammad are soo sweeeet and were such a pleasure to work with. You could feel the energy, love and happiness. I am posting below few shots I've taken during the day. You can find more photos on Gulnara's blog.

As long as we are on the subject, I highly recommend visiting her BLOG as she's holding a contest for Free Wedding Package for a needy couple. This is very noble on her part and I think that one couple will get very very lucky to have her shoot their wedding - not only because she's the best but for giving a chance to people who otherwise could not afford high end photography services!!! So, go! Check out the DETAILS of the contest...if you qualify this might just be the perfect opportunity!

The Fine Art Albums...

I am striving for albums that showcase photographs, your beauty and emotions rather than a design extravaganza. I believe that sometimes less is more. While still keeping a story telling flow of the books, I want each photograph to state something special about your day and the book to be beautiful as a whole. Simple and elegant. I made a sample below, it's a smaller than usual album spread but it was a very small and intimate wedding I shot for Caitlin and Mark who came to NJ from CA to be with closest family and friends for their special day.

Square book 2 page spreads:

Front & Back Cover:
Pages 1- 20

Going back in time...

On this lovely but cold Saturday morning, I'm sitting at my computer, drinking delicious coffee and organizing my oldest files I still have stored in the computer. I found some pretty old stuff, that although I have it all on film and most in print, I have hard time erasing from my drive. All of the photos were taken with my ol' manual Nikon and B&W film. Most of them are from my early school years. I just love looking at them. I hope you'll enjoy.

I'm back!!!

A short absence due to few new things happening in my life!!! I have moved over the river to NJ- Now I'm an official "country girl" - no, not really I'll always have that city spirit in me.

I love the fact of still being so close to NYC I can hop over any time yet have the quietness of a country side. trees, birds, lakes, mountains..... We, humans always dream of the best of two worlds and I think I've gotten it!
Here's few pictures I've snapped while trying to organize, paint, clean and all that lovely stuff that comes with a new place.

The last picture was taken with my new wicked Holga lens made to fit digital cameras!! How cool is that? A plastic camera I love I can transfer into digital! I simply love the feel of it...don't you?
